I'll be right back...

Hello, friends!

I've got a lot of stuff going on right now and am having trouble keeping up at The Hungry Dog this week. There are some rumbles of change on the horizon...which is exciting, for me, if not for you. Anyhow, I haven't had much time to cook new and interesting things to post about. But I promise I'll be back soon. I've got some rhubarb that I'm planning on turning into a little cake, so check back later in the week.

In the meantime, here's a little picture of me and Frances that the husband took recently. Apropos of nothing, just for fun.

Love,
Hungry Dog

  9. You know, my stomach have been rumbling lately too, every morning around 10:32 a.m. What's up with that? People think it's because I'm hungry, but then I read somewhere that stomach rumblings or growlings isn't indicative of hunger and may just be an empty stomach that needs to be filled with water. So then I drink a lot of water to stop the rumbling but also because water is good for you and you should drink a lot of it all day, but then not a whole lot that you get water poisoning like those drunk frat boys. Where was I? Oh yeah, rumblings, and then I drink so much water but my stomach still rumbles and plus I've got to pee. I know this isn't what you're going through because your rumblings sound like that of another nature, more like the rumblings of like Madonna wanting to shed another skin or hairdo and just be Madonna 3.0 even though we all know she's probably more like version 11.3 at this point. So if it's that kind of rumblings, then I hope you come out with the version that you like, but in a way, I'm selfishly thinking that it is just your stomach rumbling, not because it's hungry because we know that's not the case, maybe you just need some water? But I hope it's just that because then that just means you're just dealing with normal every day stuff, because the idea of something bigger scares me because that means it may take you away to some place better and the life you created here at Hungry Dog may no longer seem as signficant to you, at this moment, as what is on the horizon. But I know, life moves on and I just posted about how Passionate Eater has moved on with her life and I tried to be supportive, but dang it if I have to watch another blogger stop blogging because of life changes, so now I'm selfishly pleading that you promise to keep blogging no matter what happens in your life and I know this contradicts what I wrote on my blog, but I'm conflicted that way. So I know I can't force you to keep blogging, but I hope you will. Thanks for listening to my rant, but now I have to go pee.

  12. No need to explain or apologize; we are a happy audience for whenever you share your thots. As long as "rumbles" and "changes on the horizon" are exciting, not disturbing, and you're all okay, we're OK. xox, c&A.

  16. Hungry Dog, Great pic! What a cutie you are, and Frances too!
Change is always good, even when I think things are going down hill, it all turns out OK. What was that line from "Shakespeare in Love"? "Strangely enough, it all turns out well. How? I don't know. It's a mystery." Love that!
I'll be eagerly awaiting your posts!
I have San Francisco layovers in May, Cafe de la Presse?
